A Historic Milestone for RCB in MotoGP Innovation

RCB, the flagship brand under MKA Group, has been officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) for achieving a historic milestone with its Nagamaki Handle Grip, the first locally designed motorcycle handle grip to be used in the MotoGP World Championship.

This milestone was officially celebrated at a press conference held at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC), where Malaysia Book of Records COO Jwan Heah and Deputy GM Aaron Bong presented the official certificate to MKA Group representatives, Brand GM Marcus Leong and Brand Manager Amir Azizi, recognizing RCB for producing the first Malaysian-designed handle grip to be used in the MotoGP World Championship.

Designed and developed entirely by the MKA R&D team since December 2020, the Nagamaki Handle Grip reflects a unique blend of cultural inspiration and elite motorsports engineering. Inspired by the traditional Japanese tsuka (katana handle) wrapping technique, it features a distinctive woven structural design and advanced ergonomics engineered to reduce rider fatigue, with durability fully validated under real-world MotoGP competition.

We express our sincere appreciation to the Malaysia Book of Records for this prestigious recognition and commend the RCB team whose expertise, dedication, and commitment made this breakthrough possible.

Our thanks also go to the media and motorsports industry influencers for their coverage of this milestone, which highlights RCB’s engineering excellence and reinforces Malaysia’s presence in global high-performance automotive innovation.

At MKA Group, all our brands are driven by our philosophy of focus and constant and never-ending improvement.

We believe meaningful breakthroughs belong to those who dare to challenge limits. While we are deeply proud of this historic achievement, we are even more excited for what we will innovate next.
