CNC Machinist cum Tool Setter

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: – 

• Setup and operate CNC Milling or CNC Turning machines according to procedures, programs and engineering drawings to produce machining parts efficiently and meet to specifications.
• Machine jigs for test cut, setup clamping device and cutting tools, and adjust machine feeding rate as needed.
• Performing routine machine maintenance and cleaning. Responsible to inform superior on machine, tooling conditions and raw materials defects that may cause quality and safety issue.
• Perform in-process quality check using designated measuring equipment and devices such as calipers, micrometers, height gauge, thread gauge, pin gauge, vision measuring machines and other measuring equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Update and communicate the production output to shift supervisor/technical engineer.
• Communicate effectively with CNC programmers, supervisors and/or other CNC machinists during problem solving.
• Carry out any other responsibilities as and when assigned by management.
• Implement 5S and Kaizen activities continuously.
• Adhere safety work procedures in order to ensure all works performed are compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines.

JOB REQUIREMENT: – 

• 4-5 years of experience in CNC manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of functioning, setting-up and operating of the 5-axis CNC machines.
• Good understanding of Geometrical Dimensional Tolerances.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience as a Setter would be an advantage
